OT: iTunes burning, audio or MP3?
by Guest Smirnoff- 7 replies
Getting myself in a complete mix up in deciding what option to use when burning with iTunes. I need to make the songs playable on most CD players, not just on my PC and am using CD-R blanks. Now the bit that's confusing me. iTunes gives three options when burning (only the first two are relevant to me): Audio CD MP3 CD Data CD or DVD The files I wish to burn are already MP3's. So, should I just choose Audio CD? Would selecting MP3 CD result in them being further compressed or is that the correct option as they ARE MP3's? The more I try to search for info, the more confused I get!

Xp not recognizing my sd card
by Guest Monkey on the Moon- 2 replies

I bought a 4GB micro san disk card for use with my wireless phone. When I put it in the sd card slot on the computer - it just freezes. I can't pull up the G: drive its located under. My old 2GB card worked fine. I tried it on my wife's laptop that has vista and it showed up. I'm assuming XP can't recognize the 4GB card - is there a software update that will fix this issue?

I am unable to download files greater than 4 GB in size. Is there some way I can set-up/format a partition on my disk drive, or format a second disk drive, or do something else so that I can download these large files?? If you are kind enough to respond, please also send a message to my email address. Many, many thanks!

XP network - sharing a monitor
by Guest t_p_paterson@hotmail.com- 5 replies

Ok, this might be seen as OT, in which case, please point me to the right group. In our office we run an informal LAN workgroup. We collaborate on visual design tasks, and I'd love to have a central monitor on the wall to which we can all throw images, essentially a video whiteboard. The good quality flat screens that are out there (TV or dedicated for data) should make this pretty easy. Is there a network solution for such a screen? I presume it's a possible? Can anyone point me in the direction of how to do this? Many thanks, Thomas Paterson

I have an easy question. When I open a program then I go to open a file how do I change the file that pops up? For example I will open the Excell program. After I open the program I need to open a file so I go to open a file and when that window pops up I have to open documents and settings then I have to open a file that I call Misc. Info, then I have to open a file that is called excell spread sheets and then I can open the file that I need. Is there a way that I can skip all that and have that open file window automatically open up in the excell spread sheets file?

Hello folks, I have a quick question for you. I have a commercial client that currently has a Small Business Server running Exchange running about 8 Windows XP PRO machines connected to the domain. He just purchased 6 more computers to run the POS system for his business even though I expressed that he need Windows XP Pro so the machines could connect the domain. Is he allowed to use Windows Home Edition in a commercial environment first of all?
