SQL Dumper library failed initialization
by Guest ewibarby- 0 replies

This is the message I get everytime I restart my computer at the log in page. "SQL Dumper library failed initialization. Your installation is either corrupt or has been tampered with. Please uninstall then re-run setup to correct this problem." I think I did this accidentally when I was in add/remove programs. All I know is I removed something (I was in a hurry and tired) accidentally and now when I restart my computer, I get the above message. I don't know what the program is that this message is referring to in order to remove it and add it back. I would appreciate it if you could direct me in the right direction. Thank you in advance. She…

What does a 'virtual memory' error message mean?
by Guest Christine- 11 replies
Several times recently I have received an error message that says "Virtual memory minimum too low." What does this mean and what can I do to fix it? My computer is only 4 years old and has enough juice to operate the few basic applications I have been running when this error message has appeared. In the past I have had plenty of apps running with no problems. I do regular housekeeping like disk clean-up, error checking, and defragging. Also, it has happened relatively soon after restarting the computer. Any help is greatly appreciated so thank you in advance. ~Christine

Outlook Express 6.0 odd behavior
by Guest BBinOH- 5 replies
Here are a couple of odd things that have been happening: 1) When a new message arrives, I hear the tone twice. 2) Sometimes when I delete a message, it is not deleted from the list and is not available in the preview window. Upon closing & opening the program, the deleted messages no longer appear. 3) Programs hangs after hitting "Send" in a message window but will send if you hit the "Send/Recv" button from the main window, hit "Stop" , then hit the "Send/Recv" button again. These are mostly just annoyances and I'm trying to correct them. I have compacted the messages. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Why Does a WIn XP automatic update improperly close my outlook 200
by Guest JTollack- 3 replies
I leave my Work PC on all the time, but "locked" when away for the night. I have Windows Update set to Automatically download and install new updates. I find it unreasoneable for Windows Update to "improperly close" my Microsoft Office applications! Windows should be able to make a hook to properly call an exit and then check for it's proper termination at least for Microsoft's own applications! I have checked the behaviour of office applications on exit, to ensure there is no error or warning prompt happening, that may be "hanging" the proper exit of any of the applications. I have a large PST file (well below operational limits…

Windows updates wreck display settings
by Guest Bakes- 3 replies

Everytime I download the latest windows update my display settings go to default: the display sets to the lowest resolution and all of my icons move from their original position. It is as if the computer boots into safe mode, (but the display does not indicate that specifically) I have tried saving the desktop theme to no avail. Each time I must reset all of the font sizes, re-arrange the icons and reset the resolution. sometimes I must reboot 4 of 5 times to get it back to normal. - if I simply reboot under normal conditions, this problem does not occur. What is causing this?
