Windows 2000 Backup?

For backing up my data files, I see lots of 3rd party software to do backups. Is there anything wrong with the backup program that I see up under System Tools that comes with Windows 2000? Can anyone tell me if there are any limitations about this program? Tony

Re: W2K (SP4) - It's a minor nuisance but I have tried to address the constant warning below by every Internet suggestion I've found, deleting all references to Symantec's 'ghost' in folders, files, and register. How to kill a ghost? There must be a way to stifle this particular service. Please advise. I have the JPG folder If i am Select thumbline option to view the jpg pictures it should be Shown the real pictures ,but in my system the files normal size shows big but it not shows the pictures in the files What shoulld i have to do for this

Strange Screen Scrolling - hELP!

On my stable Windows 2000 laptop, all of a sudden, if I move the mouse towards the right of the screen, the entire screen wraps around a(moves left) and I see the left side of the screen on the right. Same with the bottom - if I move my mouse towards the bottom of the screen, the entire screen scrolls from the bottom to the top (the top if the screen is on the bottom). I've tried re-installing the video drivers - no change. This is soooooo frustrating and annoying. HELP!!!! Victor

Continous reboot

When windows is starting the bottom of the windows screen graphic turns red and then the syste automatically re-boots. I have the CD and have attempted a repair to the OS. Can anyone assist?

Windows Installer re-running again and again

(After checking other posts, I'm trying this for an answer or hint.) Recently reinstalled W2K after moving the hard drive to another machine because old one died. Different processor, so W2K wouldn't boot. Install acted like an "upgrade" to the system it found on the HDD. Install seemed to go okay. W2K will boot. Old files in place. However, when W2K starts I get frequent messages as a dialog box titled "Windows Installer" and the message "Preparing to onstall..." and a cancel button. After about a minute the box disappears. Adding "Favorites" to start task bar group

I have recently moved from windows 98se to windows 2000 (don't laugh - I'm slow), and I don't see "favorites" as one of the selections from my "start" tab (that bottom task bar thingie). Windows 98se has this, from which I can directly got to any web-page I have added as a favorite. Is there a way to get windows 2000 to add this entry to the start group popup? Thanks, Littleberry

Dear sir: When I open My pictures Folder it Shows Jpeg Files, When I am Select the Thumbnails in View List That Shuld Be Shown real pictures ,But if i Select Thumnails it didnot shows the inside Pictures . what can i do to solve this problem.

I've tried to find a simple solution, but can't get it to work. To write a script to run a simple routine, a traceroute, /whois, etc. Say a simple traceroute from run... would be cmd /k cd\ | tracert google.com A simple Runbox command (new ActiveXObject("Shell.Application")).FileRun() yields a run... popup, but I just wanted to create a shortcut to run the traceroute.
