Legacy Windows Archive ( Read Only )

I have an error that reads 'WCCWSA Window error' when I shut down my computer. This then stops the shutting down process until I clear the error message. Can anyone help and let me know how to fix this recurring error?

I am with problems in the WindowsXP Professional, the times it does not shutdown, I have that shutdown the energy, it is working normally as if I had not asked for shutdown. Somebody can help me? Thks, Irage

My network car (or connection) seems to start up very late in the login process. I have a program that runs out of the key [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run] It needs the network. Unfortunately, it beats the network card up from a cold boot. I can see that the tray icon for the network isn't even up yet but the program has already kicked off. Is there any way to get the network startup to run earlier in the startup process? Perhaps get it to the head of the list in the misc stuff that starts up in the tray ? Thanks,

Recently Iv'e had errors coming up in win media player 11. Its happen several times lately and I did not have this problem before. here is the event veiwer entry. A colleague has phoned me in confusion, as the address bar in their Internet Explorer 7 has disappeared. In earlier versions of IE, I'd just tell them to right-click in the header section and select 'Address Bar' from the context-sensitive menu, but this doesn't appear in IE7. Does anyone have any suggestions? Many thanks.

Hi, My computer always checks one of my hard drive partitions during startup. There are no problems with my hard disks But there was an incident that I installed Win 3.1 on E drive with DOSBox... from that while on E drive is always getting checks everytime XP boots. Now the situation has changed a bit, 'I' Drive always gets checks without reasons!! Does anyone know how to get rid of this? Thanks Jack

Hi I do have an external 400gb harddrive with usb2.0. I formatted it with windows xp as one partition with ntfs. Now I connected that usb drive to my windows 2003 sp2 32bit server, which told me, that would be a 80gb full harddrive. If I plug it back to windows xp it works quite fine. What can I do? I assumes 2003sp2 would accept large drives? Regards, Steffen

Dear Sirs/Mams, I just ran CHKDSK from, My Computer/Hard Disk Drives/(C:),(D:)+(E:)/Properties/Tools/Check Now/Automatically Fix... + Scan for... checked It scanned all three drives on reboot C: is on the primary with Win 98SE on it D: is on the secondary with Win XP Professional on it E: is a partition on C: with my programs for Windows XP All three drives are FAT32 Two questions : 1. Is there a better way to run CHKDSK, than above ? 2. I can't find the log from my CHKDSK run, is there one ? Or do I somehow have to tell it to leave a log ? - If so, how do I do that ? How can one erase the System Volume Folder? I tryed booting with the Wxp MS-DOS startup disk but I can not access partition D!

Hi I need to backup a windows 2003 DC. If I do a systemstate backup, I requires about 1GB. Storing 1GB every day is quite a lot. However I don't seem not to be able to do incremental backups of the system state. How is this done correctly? Regards, Steffen

Hi All, Why does Internet Explorer 64 Edition work with Windows Update within the Windows XP Professional x64 Edition operating system? Update saids you need to use the Internet Explorer 32-bit version instead. How come? Will this hold true for Vista 64-bit as well? Hello, On the Longhorn Beta when I share a folder it seems to revert to read only. I think it still allows files to be changed in it from across the network, but when I look at the folder on the local server it has read only ticked. I untick it and hit apply, it is then unticked. If I close the properties window of the folder and immediately reopen it the read only box is ticked again. I'm getting ticked off by this, pardon the pun. For example if I back up into this folder from another server the size of the file does not grow when I look in this folder in Windows Explorer. Then if I untick read only the size of the backup file suddenly jumps to the righ…

Difficult to descirbe but here goes: Example I open the "Run" Command window and try to move my mouse to it. If I am to slow the window disappears, but if I get there quick enough I can use it. Same issue applies to many other dialogue boxes. Any suggestions? Regards Jim
