Well anyways when I play music or a video or do anything in that general area, it will lag every 2-3 minutes or so. I have a realtivily new computer (not even a year old) and this problem has occured only recently which means I have not had this problem before. I have tried refreshing my computer and doing everything I possibly can yet it still occurs. Please help.

run bat file as a service in Windows 2003/XP
by Guest Dan- 4 replies
Hi, Is it possible to run a bat file as a service? I created a service with the SRVANY and INSTSRV tools. I then created a bat file to check for the existence of a file in a certain folder and if it existed then delete that file. I then specified the path to the bat file in the new service's binpath. However when the service runs it doesn't delete the file. I can see the command prompt open up and close. When I directly run the bat file it deletes the file. But when the service runs it doesn't delete the file. I researched but couldn't find any specific answer. Thanks in advance Dan

Re-Install XP After Installing Vista
by Guest ragman619- 3 replies
A user upgraded his machine to Vista when the machine really was not robust enough to handle it. I am trying to re-install XP by booting off of the CD that came with his hardware (Compaq). I can't get it to boot from that CD. I'm not concerned about losing any of the user's files or installed programs, just want to get him back to a clean base system. Any ideas from anyone out there?

Add/Remove Windows Components runs amuck
by Guest Saywut?- 3 replies

When trying to access Add/Remove Windows Components the Wizard loads, but it doesn't allow me to make any changes. It just loads, runs through the routine of making changes (which I have not had to opportunity to make) and completes the routine only giving me the option to click "Finish". Is there a Sysoc.inf tweak that I can make to get it to behave properly? Thanks much. -- I don''t want to know what I don''t want to know, but I don''t know what I don''t want to know.
