when I ping from machine A to B: >ping 121.1.1.1 -v 0x47 windows keeps delivering the ToS field as 0x46 in the IP datagram. This is what Wireshark reported. However, I didn't have any problem when pinging from a linux box. It appears that the 2nd Hex will always be round off to the lower even number when pinging from windows machine, e.g: 0x27 becomes 0x26 0x15 becomes 0x14 0xA3 becomes 0xA2 and so on.... When looking closely in Wireshark, this is this due to the last bit of the QoS because it's related to ECN-CE ....whatever, this means....does anyone know how can I turn on this function? After removing corrupted, file Net Framework 2.0. The installation of Net Framework 3.0 has Program called Cardspace. I have read the white pages about this but do not see any application for the home user. Could you please give a good reason why not to delete this file? Also in the Add/Remove Programs, which files is this? I am thinking it is in framework 3.0- Service Pack 1 titled Net Framework WCS. Many Thanks

Hello, i been breaking my head over this. What type of modem does Windows XP Pro. Fax Services require in order for Fax Console to recognize and fill in the "Caller ID" field? 1. i have tried 3 different modems (generic, generic, robotics) 2. all three different modems recognize the caller id when using AT+VCID=1 string, via HyperTerminal 3. in modem Control Panel, the string AT+VCID=1 is typed in the Advanced tab "Extra initialization commands" but, yet Fax Console will not display the caller id. Any guidance or ideas are much greatly appriciated.

Hello, I have a client at home who remotes into our TS box - even if they log into the administrator account - they don't see their local drives listed in My computer on the terminal computer. I remote in using the same account from my home PC and I see all of my local drives listed under other. I even remoted into their session and couldn't see the drives so I know it wasn't them just saying it - they actually weren't listed. They are running Windows XP SP2 at home. Somehow I doubt it is their local firewall but could be wrong - any suggestions?

I performed a "full system restore (with backup)" system recovery on my laptop,which is running Windows XP, Media Center Edition, Version 2002, SP3. Everything is fine now, but I have an 8 GB backup folder that I no longer need or want. I tried to delete it, but the system prevented it. Had to rebuild pc and the disk is pre sp1. Installed OS and prompted straight for sp3 but would not install as said doesn't have the min sp1 requisite... Website says will install on plain xp !

Hi, I tried to in stall from the CD the softweaaare for my HP 750 series all in one printer. Installation went good. why can't i format a cd? I'm using an hp with windows xp home edition 5.1.2600 service pack 2 build 2600 and I ran mmc and opened a console for disk management. When I click on the d: drive which is my cd, the only tasks available are change drive letter and paths,eject,properties. I'm not sure what my next step with mmc is. Anybody?

Hi, I want to replace the 40 gig drive which has XP Home OEM on it with a larger capacity drive, the mother board, processor, memory, graphics card excetra are all the same. Will Windowows activate on the new drive ok?
