Re: Using two computers on the same Cable or DSL line. I am writing this letter to ALL Wireless Router manufacturers. I have a Linksys Wireless Router Model:BEFW11S4. It is 7 years (yes, count them, all of seven little years) old. I have visited the Linksys website numerous times trying to set up the WEP/WPA security on that wireless router (as all responsible wireless router owners should!). I found that there are no links to any wireless router setting websites that are congruent with the screen shots from Linksys' own self help technical support site. I have had to call Linksys several times to resolve this issue only to be placed on hold for le…

Thin client support for TS Gateway

We have been using Terminal Services for our desktop provision to staff for many years now and as a result we have many dozens of HP thin clients out in the field (and by field I mean teleworking locations and in the homes of our staff). 80% of our users are able to work remotely in this fashion and the remaining 20% work on the terminal servers using thin clients on site. We are looking to move to Windows Server 2008 and one of the main features we are looking to implement is the TS Gateway. Unfortunately while users with access to PCs and laptops (~20%) should have no problems I am growing concerned for the thin client users. Is there a list of sup…

by Guest MoiMeme- 3 replies

Hi, XP SP2 fully updated except SP3 Trying O1O Defrag pro Says on chkdsk that "errors occur" and interrupts process. Have done 3-4 times chkdsk ( in nomrla mode and reboot, and 2 in safe mode) No change : O&O defrag state on errors, so does partition magic How shoudl I proceed to correct these errors ? Other related question: - if I do a format and restore an image of that partition ( Acronis TrueImage), will that restore the errors at the same time ? - if so how can I do without having to reinstall XP and progs ? Drive itself is OK ( from SMART data, nothing stating failure(s) ) TIA for help !!
