Guest Howard - JC Publishing Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 We wanted to block access to web sites from one of our office computers. I found something in gpedit.msc that enabled me to block a program so I entered iexplore.exe. That worked but all prgrams are blocked - including gpedit.msc! Now what? Thank you.

Guest Pegasus \(MVP\) Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 Re: Problems after using gpedit.msc You can do a manual System Restore - see here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/307545 Note that you must have done far more in the Policy Editor than just block access to certain web sites. Guest Howard - JC Publishing Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 Re: Problems after using gpedit.msc I was able to run Restore from the command line in Safe Mode. Everything works OK now. Perhaps I went to the Run Only program selection in gpedit.msc. Thank you for your assistance.
