Windows 11 Cannot connect to internet at friends house-now internet connection is dropping at home?

I use Norton and the driver update function. I read elsewhere that that is not recomended. Regardless, I was staying at a friends house for a few days and never was able to connect to the internet. Came home and now the laptop loses internet connection often. Never happened before.
