Guest Rory Fewell Posted July 2, 2019 Posted July 2, 2019 Hi, I am coming across an issue at a number of sites where there seems to be some bug in Microsoft.SkypeApp that is causing one of its directories in the %localappdata% directory to be locked until computer restart. In particular this is the folder affected: %localappdata%\Packages\Microsoft.SkypeApp_kzf8qxf38zg5c\LocalCache\RNManualFileCache This is quite an annoying problem because we run roaming profiles, and due to this folder being locked, the local user profiles under C:\Users can't be deleted by Windows on log off and this results in a bunch of other problems. Namely that after a while, the user accounts build up with filenames like C:\Users\joe.bloggs.MYDOMAIN.001.002.003.004.005... and this causes Microsoft Office to fail to open any document with a rather unhelpful message of "Sorry, we couldn't open <file>" I suppose I could make a GPO to try and bodge this and forcefully purge this directory, but I was wondering if anyone else has come across this issue and whether it will ever be fixed?
