Guest Elpakko9999 Posted July 22, 2019 Posted July 22, 2019 Posted this last week in Windows 10 Tech Community, but not sure if I'm going to an answer there. Also a bit confused on, where to ask this kind of questions. Anyway, here's the problem: I noticed on our Windows 10 v1903 clients that installing latest update KB4507453 will somehow corrupt/break Print Spooler service. I started to get reports that printing is not working anymore on Win 10 clients. Troubleshooting further, I noticed that Print Spooler -service was not automatically starting as it should. I tried to start the service with local admin accounts and the result was "0x80070005 Access Denied". I tried to start the service with Domain Admin and "Access Denied". Tried basically everything starting with sfc /scannow and deleting c:\windows\system32\spool\PRINTERS\*.* etc. but still keep getting the access denied error every time I try to start the service. I figured that this must have something to do with the latest MS updates, and uninstalled KB4507453 + rebooted. After the reboot, Print Spooler started to work normally and autostarted as it should. Now, has anyone else had problems with KB4507453? This behaviour occurs on every domain joined Win 10 v1903 computer. We also have v1607 computers, but these are not affected by this problem as KB4507453 is only for 1903. I have now put this update on hold, but would like to get a permanent solution for this. Any help appreciated. More... Quote
