Edge browser "Your computer might have been incorrectly detected as being outside the domain network" after sleep

We have recently started moving users over from IE to Edge as default browser. However, when Windows wake up from sleep, our internal http//intranet site is reported as "Can't reach this page" (see image below).

 

This does not happen on IE.

 

We run laptops with Win10 Enterprise (one user has version 1803), DirectAccess is enabled.

 

Any clues?
