Guest PonyV Posted November 11, 2019 Posted November 11, 2019 So my laptop started restarting and shuting down randomly yesterday and hasn't stopped since. a list of the things I have tried: virus scan changing the power/sleep options updating drivers unchecking automatically restart checking hardware in system tune-up (pressing esc button on power-up and going into system diagnostic) checking memory in BIOS disabling shut off to save power changing minimum processer state to 0 troubleshooting I then noticed that in the Event Viewer, at and after every restart/shutdown there were these two errors: 1) audit events have been dropped by the transport. 0 (EventLog) 2) the last shutdown/restart was unexpected (Kernal-Power) I'm fairly sure the errors and the restarts/shutdown are related, but don't know how. I would like to know what's going on and how to fix it. Laptop model: HP Pavilion DV7-c600 OS: Windows 10 Pro Processor: Intel i7 RAM: 8GB HDD: two 146GB/500GB More... Quote
