Windows Search not working after migration to SSD

I recently migrated my Windows 10 installation to a new SSD I bought from Samsung. Almost everything seems to be working fine after the migration, however, Windows Search is not working correctly. If I search for something from the Start Menu, I get results for anything that is in the Start Menu, but not anything else. There's a message at the top that reads "Search indexing was turned off." below which is a link that reads "Turn indexing back on."

 

If I click "Turn indexing back on," I get the Indexing Options window that says "Indexing is not running". Nothing shows up in the "Indexed locations" list. If I click Advanced, the only option enabled is to Rebuild the index, which does not appear to do anything (I've tried it twice in three days).

 

If I go to Windows Services, I can see that the "Windows Search" service is stopped. If I changed it to Manual and try to start the service, I get the following error: "Windows could not start the Windows Search service on Local Computer. Error 6801: Transaction support within the specified resource manager is not started or was shut down due to an error."

 

I found some troubleshooting steps on another Technet forum for this error, which involved deleting files in the "C:\Windows\System32\config\TxR" folder. This folder does not seem exist on my drive (even with "Show hidden files" selected and "Hide protected operating system files" unchecked).

 

What else can I try to get search back?
