"The action can't be completed because the folder or file is open in another program." HOW IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE WHEN I JUST AM NOW CREATING IT?!? What is MORE messed up is, if i open the Desktop folder in File Explorer, i can create folders and rename them all day. only when doing it directly on the Desktop is it an issue, and it never used to be... FYI, my desktop is a network share, and i already tried deleting the share and reassigning it. when the desktop is local, i CAN create new folders and rename them, just not when the network folder is set as desktop folder. and i have full permissions on the folder. again, i can create folders and rename them in File Explorer, just not directly on the desktop. I've already tried everything here: Can't rename folders in Windows 10 [uLTIMATE GUIDE] and none of it fixes the problem. any ideas? More... Quote
