Hello, for some reason my PC keeps turning off. It does it at very random times and I don't know why. I'm running Windows 7 and I have done a Virus scan which I sorted through and my computer is Virus clean. I checked my powercord by wiggling it a bit too see if my PC turned off then but it did nothing. I'm so clueless. It's really starting to annoy me because i'd be playing a game on League of Legends and it'd just turn off, or i'd be watching a video n it turns off. UGH. Help please!!

Hi dpmo123 and welcome to FPCH.

When was the last time that you cleaned the inside of your computer?

As this happens when the system is under load ( playing games, watch videos )it may well be dust build up that is causing a over heating problem.

Taking the side off and checking for dust would be the first thing to do.

If it does need cleaning, this link might help:

Hi and welcome to ExTS from me.

After cleaning the dust away as Starbuck suggests download "Speccy" from here - click here

You want the Free Version.

Install and run it.

I am interested in any temperatures that it indicates.

It is no use running this when the system is not under load - so run a game and run Speccy at the same time to see what it comes up with.

There is an email going around offering processed pork - gelatin - and salt in a can ......this is simply SPAM !!
