Hi all, my Logitech cordless mouse seems to have a mind of its own. I can use it as per normal, then it wont respond to my er! commands.

The cursor doesn't always respond but wanders everywhere bar where I want it to go, if I hover over an icon on the bottom browser to bring it up, instead, it starts to drag the icon & is a pain to release it. Other times it respond fine.

Batteries are fully charged, so is the mouse kaput or is, for some reason, the signal not getting to the mouse?

Comments very welcome.

Cheers

Since posting this query, I've found a couple of similar threads on the forum, but throughout the reading of these various posts, the mouse has behaved as it should? Strange

Hi Ken,

It's was still hit & miss. But I called in our local computer chappies shop for advice & he says to try blowing into the red led area, as dust can effect the mouses action.

Tried this yesterday & so far it's working okay, but it was before & then went wonky again. I report back with any progress. He has the optical ones with nano usb for around £8.

I suggested giving it proper blast with my industrial capacity compressor ,:eyebrows: he said unless I wanted to totally destroy its workings to avoid that.:nono:

If the mouse is a problem - and you are intending getting a new one [ £8 is not a lot ] I would give it a go.

[ wait for it to play up again ]

Nothing lost :)

You can get a can of compressed air - but this just adds to the expense :)

There is an email going around offering processed pork - gelatin - and salt in a can ......this is simply SPAM !!
