Guest Alan T Posted July 12, 2007 Posted July 12, 2007 I got this warning from my Kasperiky program saying about this file: qpdncvcl.dll However, I cannot find anything about via Google.

And how Kaspersky detects it ? size of file, location, maybe registry entry ? Guest Alan T Posted July 12, 2007 Posted July 12, 2007 Re: Trojan Kaspersky just pop up a little box on the lower half of right side, giving options of 'delete' and 'deny'. It was located in my Documents and settings.. I would think my computer is infected as sometime it pops up the D:\Windows\explorer.exe is sending data out, sometimes said explorer.exe is changed. I tried to replace the Explorer.exe by Win2K one but no luck. Sometimes my desktop icons, task bars are missing (ie only wall paper left), I need to Ctrl-Alt-Del to call Task List... -> New Task to call the D:\Windows\Explorer.exe to get the desktop back. In addition, I scanned my PC these days with AVG but still have the same problem. Renmame the file first and see what happens. -- http://www.bootdisk.com/
Guest Marcin Domaslawski Posted July 12, 2007 Posted July 12, 2007 Re: Trojan Hi, It's not explorer is infected (I suppose). Probably antivirus points on Explorer.exe as a parent process of malware file. Caused because this dll file can be laded when explorer.exe is launched. Have you tried to delete this dll ? e.g. in safe mode? or have you tried to look up this in registry ? You can use: http://virusscan.jotti.org or http://www.virustotal.com scanners at least you can change if some AV detects it by signatures, and then you will know what exactly look for.
