Guest dontdont@gmail.com Posted July 13, 2007 Posted July 13, 2007 I'm trying to help some pour soul hundreds of miles away figure out why they can't get networking going to a second pc, the first one is working and on the net. Doing this "remote control", when they don't know enough to be able to do this on their own, only complicates things. I have searched the net repeatedly trying to find out exactly what steps the executable carries out when you create a network transfer floppy/usb drive. Can anyone point me to the authority of what that does? Hopefully with that list I can help them walk through that list step by step and maybe we can figure out their problem. Thank you

Re: Where is the list of steps the network settings transfer floppy/usb executable does? On my win98 machine it installed Internet connection sharing, without it showing in Add/Remove Programs, and Universal Plug and Play which did show in Add/Remove. These both started at boot up.
