The wmv8dmod.dll is file component of windows Media Player, do you set windows media 0player to be your default application for opening all Files/Folders/Applications?, you can change this and set the Windows Explorer as your default Player/Launcher to run your Programs or applications. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/324290 Opena run command and type in: regsvr32 wmvdmod.dll regsvr32 wmv8dmod.dll Reboot your computer and see if the external Drive will open okay, if it doesn't then right click on it and select open with and this time elect Windows Explorer. Make sure this machine si clean from malware and viruses and the files/folder you want to access also clean. HTH. nass ------ http://www.nasstec.co.uk
