Guest KCav Posted July 13, 2007 Posted July 13, 2007 Event Type: Error Event Source: Dhcp Event Category: None Event ID: 1002 Date: 7/13/2007 Time: 8:08:37 AM Error message in Event Viewer says, " The IP address lease 10.84.180.6 for the Network Card with network address 0013D36D544C has been denied by the DHCP server 0.0.0.0 (The DHCP Server sent a DHCPNACK message)." The notebook is connected to my LAN. I am exchanging files, how can the network address be denied by DHCP. Cna I trace what triggered this? -- KC

Cna I trace what triggered this? > > > > > -- > KC Read this links: Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) http://www.microsoft.com/technet/network/evaluate/technol/tcpipfund/tcpipfund_ch06.mspx Error Message: Invalid DHCP Lease http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310524 Your DHCP looks like operating in Unicast mod, you need to provide more info for us to help, like how do you connect, what hardware involved, is there is any new hardware or a new machine added. Open a run command and type in: services.msc click [OK] On services make sure the DHCP is started Auto. HTH. nass
