Guest James Turner Posted July 14, 2007 Posted July 14, 2007 Hi all, My problem presists, I've tried pulling in a backup that I made last year but still get the message: "C\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\mscorsvw.exe"cannot access a necessary file, "msvcr80.dll.", and there are other programs trying to access this same file. This report is created by Norton SystemWorks. "DLL Conflict" http://support.microsoft.com/kb/326922/en-us Any help that can be given will be muchly appreciated jim

There are plenty of Symantec articles about false error messages caused by Norton's "Windoctor" which can be safely ignored. As for this one, search your system drive for the 'missing' file "msvcr80.dll" and you'll find it most likely within the %windir%\WinSxS\...\ subfolder(s) where it belongs. > Thank you You're welcome. -- d-d
