Guest wendelin Posted July 15, 2007 Posted July 15, 2007 Hi, Perhaps due to an electricity outage, my Add or Remove Programs list has been corrupted. The entries in this list are weird and have no Change/Remove buttons. On running regedit, the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall has only new programs listed. The old programs are gone. Is there any way to rebuild this list? Thank you. Wendelin

Guest Rich Barry Posted July 15, 2007 Posted July 15, 2007 Re: Rebuild Add or remove programs list Try a System Restore. Go to Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools>System Restore. Just follow the instructions. Choose a Restore Point made before the electrical outage occurred. Guest wendelin Posted July 15, 2007 Posted July 15, 2007 Re: Rebuild Add or remove programs list Tried system restore. This got me only to a point after that outage, if I select any dates before the outage it is unable to do the restore. In fact, when I tried to undo the restore, it wouldnt let me do that either (and it claimed to be completely reversible!!) Wendelin
