Guest Judy Posted July 15, 2007 Posted July 15, 2007 "Hi. I used to resize my photos through HP Photosmart Essential but recently started having problems with it not recognising Outlook Express. Working on this with HP however this made me look at alternatives and I found the function in XP to resize photos. However it wants me to "choose profile" and I don't understand what this is or what to do. I prefer to use Outlook Express but will consider other alternatives. It could be that the HP and the XP problems are related. I have checked my profiles (as much as I know how) and they are set to Outlook Express. Help please.

Guest Judy Posted July 15, 2007 Posted July 15, 2007 Re: Email this file - choose profile? Thank you for the work around - excellent power tool and exactly what I needed. Doesn't actually fix my original problem but since I don't need it anymore I shall forget it - until it appears again somewhere else. Many thanks - really helpful "Shenan Stanley" wrote: > Judy wrote: > > "Hi. That "choose Profile" message refers specifically to Outlook, not Outlook Express. Outlook Express uses a different term. So, somewhere, you've got Outlook selected as the default mail handler. Also, in Control Panel, Mail, Profiles, you're probably set up to "Prompt for a profile to be used". Try going into Internet Explorer, Tools, Options, Programs, and look there. HTH -pk
