New Email alert on log in page

I am using win XP Pro and Outlook 2003. Next to my log in name it shows I

have new email (Unread email). Once I log in, there is no new email. How can

I reset this problem? Email me at Reggie808@gmail.com

A lot of these little issues can be easily dealt with with the TweakUI XP

PowerToy.

And you'll probably find a number of other handy settings you weren't even

aware you wanted!

To remove an account or to change the count manually Go to:

Start/Run/Regedit and navigate to this key:

 

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\UnreadMail\[Your

E-Mail Address]. In the right pane modify: Message Count, Change it to 0.

 

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\UnreadMail. In

the right pane modify: MessageExpiryDays Change it to 0.
