Guest rik Posted July 16, 2007 Posted July 16, 2007 I have set up a backup using the backup app included in the XP operating system. I have told it to "wake the computer" to complete the event, I have made sure "run event only if logged in" is NOT checked. Nevertheless, the computer never "wakes", from standby, hibernation, or full power off, in order to complete at the scheduled time. Any ideas?

This has nothing to do with Windows - the process is fully explained in your motherboard manual. You can then use the Task Scheduler (via the Control Panel) to launch the backup process 10 minutes after the scheduled start-up time.
