What is the diference between shell:programs and shell:common programs

In the windows start menu we can find all the programs direct access: These .Ink are located in two differents folders :C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs [1]C:\Users\jorge\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs [2][1] [2]What is the difference between these two folders or paths?Which is better?Which should i use?PD: I have modified a little the contents of these two folders, but i dont see noticeable difference. Some apps afte getting installed appears in [1] others in [2]. ~Thanks!
