Microsoft Scanner stuck scanning a single file.

Hello! So, I left my pc on while I had to do some stuff elsewhere (not very wise but, it was the best time to do so).It's been stuck in this single .exe file for the past hour at least. Should I restart the scanner? I'm afraid to do so, since it found 29 "Infected Files" that might also be nothing, but still. I also must say that I'm running the scanner because I've been trying to open The Binding of Isaac, but haven't been able to. Whenever I try to open it steam pops up saying there is a "virus or potentially unwanted software" Then Windows Defender pops up aswell I don't know what to do :(
