My laptop randomly spams the dot key from time to time, how do I fix this?

This problem arised yesterday, with the problem randomly showing up as soon as I booted up my laptop.At first I didn't notice anything strange, until I opened up my browser and tried to type something in the search bar, that's when I noticed a bunch of dots were being typed with no input from me as if something was holding down the dot key.The problem was temporarily fixed by simply pressing the dot key on my laptop's keyboard (I have two keyboards, an USB keyboard and a laptop keyboard.)I thought this was a browser problem, so I tried opening a notepad, same problem.I tried checking if someth
