Guest Linda Posted August 11, 2007 Posted August 11, 2007 I installed SP2 for win2003 . I took a long time before the installation finished. Afterward I can not acsess files using network adresses like : " \\server\sharename" I i instead use the normal path as F:\\sharename I succeed. It not a question of acsessright?, but win.explorer or other programs do not FIND the address/file. Does anybody know what has happened? I am working on the actual (domain) server as administrator. Thanks for help Linda
Guest Mat Posted August 13, 2007 Posted August 13, 2007 RE: SP2 No acess to network places Hi Linda, Have you checked the Windows Server Firewall since the install? I agree this doesn't seem to be an access issue but rather a networking one as using a UNC \\server\share requires using the TCP stack and going out and back in the NIC - even if you are on the server you are trying to access. Kind Regards, Mat. "Linda" wrote: > I installed SP2 for win2003 .
