How to ease free seating & different docking stations / different monitors

Hi guys, we recently renovated our office premises and we've gone from dedicated offices to open scenery & free seating. Which initially is giving a bit of headache for the employees whenever they switch seat, and have to readjust screen resolution etc all the time. Not all of our employees are that technically skilled as well. When people switch seat the default config seems to be monitor is duplicated and resolution is same as laptop screen.So I'm wondering if anyone have smart ideas on how to solve this is best way possible?
