Photos won't open from File Explorer Seach results

When I do a search in File Explorer from the Pictures folder, then double-click a thumbnail to open, Photos opens with a blank screen. If I right-click on one of the thumbnails, and choose Open File Location, then double-click, Photos app opens as expected.
