Can't use a USB 3.0 to HDMI adapter and HDMI port at the same time for monitors

Hello, I have recently bought a USB 3.0 to HDMI adapter for my laptop so I could use another monitor in my laptop in conjunction with another one I have connected by HDMI. But if I only use the monitor connected by the adapter, it works fine (I installed the latest driver from the manufacturer, even tho it's cheap "MSDisplay_MultiDev_v1.0.0.18.0.exe"), but as soon as I connect the other monitor via HDMI port it just changes to the new one and it stops detecting the adapter one. I tried it with Windows screen settings on so I could see the display numbers and for a second or two after plugging
