I have had issues with logging into the server.

Basically I moved the Rack with servers to an adjucent room. To this I had

to disconnect everything and reroute cables. Brought all the servers up. Have

a...

Domain Controller/Fileserver w/ DNS W/ DHCP and Active Directory.

Mail Server that has Active Directory (W2K3 Enterprise SP1 / Exchange 2003).

SQL Server (w/ W2K3 SP1 and SQL 2000) w/ DNS Server (backup).

Checked all cables. All seem to be OK.

Workstations seem to logon on boot but when U try and access mail or public

directories, a seperate login screen for Domain Controller, Mail server and

SQL Server keeps coming up for you to enter password again.

Have checked all even logs. All 3 server now has a problem w/ various Event

IDs all seem to be pointing to the domain controller not being available. The

domain controllers Event log starts witht his error which does not seem to

have any info int he knowledgebase.

Event ID : 1007 - dsrestor

The DSRestore Filter failed get domain admin information. Error returned is

<id:0>.

Then we have Event ID : 1058 and 1030 in Applications. This has started on

August 15th.

Now the one conclusion is that something in the Windows update has triggered

this as nothing has changed since we created a share back in March.

Can anyone help. I have tried all the possible solution listed in the 1058

and 1030 articles.

Thanks.
