Guest Rod-O-Matic Posted September 24, 2007 Posted September 24, 2007 Greetings. When opening my desktop icons, even though I have selected the 'Maximized' option in the Property Sheet, the refuse to open Maximized. Anybody have any suggestions to solve this problem. I am going back and check some settings/properties to see if I have made an error, but previous looks have revealed nothing outstanding. Thanks Rod-O-Matic

Note that it's up to the program to recognize the 'Maximized' option. If your applications were starting maximized before, scan your system for malware and use the System Restore tool when clean. -- d-d

If a few, try deleting and creating a new shortcut with maximized selected in the Run box. -- Regards Ron Badour MS MVP 1997 - 2007 "Rod-O-Matic" <RodOMatic@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:C88D1517-3E96-44DE-974D-E7B9A22ABCB6@microsoft.com... > Greetings. > When opening my desktop icons, even though I have selected the 'Maximized' > option in the Property Sheet, the refuse to open Maximized. > > Anybody have any suggestions to solve this problem. > > I am going back and check some settings/properties to see if I have made > an > error, but previous looks have revealed nothing outstanding. > > Thanks > Rod-O-Matic
Guest Rod-O-Matic Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 Re: Desktop Icons Not Maximizing Upon Opening Ron. Sorry about not responding sooner, been a little busy. It seems to be the ones I have on my desktop. Have not tried too many others. Tried your suggestion but I can not select the 'Maximized' option until after I create a shortcut. Guest Ron Badour Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 Re: Desktop Icons Not Maximizing Upon Opening That's the way it is supposed to work--create and then select the option. If the shortcut then works as you want, make all new desktop shortcuts and delete the old ones. -- Regards Ron Badour MS MVP 1997 - 2007 "Rod-O-Matic" <RodOMatic@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:9526418B-97A6-45CE-A3E3-39CC32F302BF@microsoft.com... > Ron. > > Sorry about not responding sooner, been a little busy. > > It seems to be the ones I have on my desktop.
