What does "update rollup" mean in the world of Microsoft ??

In preparation for the tail end of this new DST experiment.....MS referrs to

"Exchange calendar update tool" and "Outlook Time Zone data update tool"

I remember applying the KB931836 for Server 2003 and XP

And then having to run the TXEDIT tool on Win2000 computers......I dont

know why I dont remember those other 2 update tools listed above used to

"rebase" time/calendar programs .............. maybe weran them and I just

am burnt out

any info is appreciated

Sorry, not sure what exactly your question was. Assuming now that you're

looking for the most recent DST and time zone updates and tools being

applicable to WinXP, Outlook and Exchange as well as the corresponding

MSKB articles including the appropriate download resources:

"August 2007 cumulative time zone update for Microsoft Windows operating

systems" http://support.microsoft.com/kb/933360/en-us

"How to address the daylight saving time changes in 2007 by using the

Time Zone Data Update Tool for Microsoft Office Outlook"

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/931667/en-us

"Update for daylight saving time changes in 2007 for Exchange 2003

Service Pack 2" http://support.microsoft.com/kb/926666/en-us

"How to configure daylight saving time for Microsoft Windows operating

systems" http://support.microsoft.com/kb/914387/en-us

(contains the download link for the TZEDIT.EXE utility package)

In addition, you might look for this tool: "Microsoft Time Zone"

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?displaylang=en&FamilyID=bff59fcf-3148-40b8-a286-fe7274f6e4d8

Note that the balloon tips have to be enabled in order to run this tool.

Hope that helps.
