Cancelling Backup results in Delayed Write Failure

After cancelling NTBackup I start getting Delayed Write Failures on future

backups.

Performing massive write activity other than backup does NOT produce Delayed

Write Failures.

Restoring the system to before the backup was cancelled eliminates the

Delayed Write Failures thrown by backup.

Anyone seen this?

Is there a fix for it?

Do not try it unless you have a way to rollback your system..

Re: Cancelling Backup results in Delayed Write Failure

FYI.

Today I received a Delayed Write Warning WITHOUT having previously cancelled

a backup.

I am running my backup to a dedicated HDD (WD360).

So I vacated the drive, deleted the partition, used WD tools to write-zero

and full test, have a look at SMART info.

Didn't see anything. So I repartioned and formatted (NTSF).

Ran the backup and did NOT get a Delayed Write Warning.
