Guest Kerturner Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 Using Windows XP SP2. The windows picture and fax viewer is saving pictures, banners, logos and whatever while I browse the web. They are not being saved in the pictures file. The only time I can find all of this saved stuff is when I receive e-mails with attached jpeg or tif files. When I open the attached picture file, that image comes up and then when I arrow or scroll left or right I see all of these other images. I can delete them, but the next time I receive another e-mail with an attached picture, I find more new things in the picture and fax viewer. Please help! -- Kerturner
Guest Kelly Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 Re: Picture and Fax Viewer Saving Pictures From Internet Browsing Hi, That is where they are being saved. Change the path. HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell Folders The viewer will show you every picture saved within the same folder. Say you want to view a picture via the destop - using the viewer will then add every picture saved on your desktop - not just the one you selected. -- All the Best, Kelly (MS-MVP/DTS&XP) Taskbar Repair Tool Plus! http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/taskbarplus!.htm "Kerturner" <Kerturner@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:F2F1598E-D572-46C1-BE1F-75978517D60A@microsoft.com... > Using Windows XP SP2.
