Thanks for the response. The event viewer doesn't give me anything I can

see. Sometime I use the safe mode for removing software and an occasional

bad file. I don't use safe mode that often but just wanted to see if there

was something causing this that, I may have missed. Again thanks for the

responses.

I'm not sure why it hangs while booting to safe mode. I would take a

look in:

 

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SafeBoot\Minimal

 

There might be something in there (incompatible driver, malware, rogue

service) that is preventing Safe Mode from booting.
