Map drive for USB memory stick

Hi, This should be easy, but I can't find the solution in help, on this

site. I'm trying assign a drive letter for a portable memory stick. When I

plug the stick into my home computer, it does this automatically. At work,

almost all of drives are already mapped, so it seems like I will need to this

manually. How do I do that?

I know the machine recoginzes my memory stick, I just can seem to access it.

Any advice would be GREATLY appreciated by this not-so-expert user!

RE: Map drive for USB memory stick

Ok, when you plugged in your memory stick, it probably assigned a letter

which was already used by your mapped network drivers.

Here's the solution:

Right click at My Computer and click manage.

In the left pane select disk management, wait couple of seconds while the

service starts.

Found your removable disk and right click on it.

Select change drive letter and paths and choose the letter which isn't

already used on your PC.

Cheers.
