Screenshot issues; won't paste in Paint; Black in Word

Hello,

 

I've got an issue where my screenshots won't paste into paint but will

into Word. However, it's all black with a faint outline of items on

the screen. See the linked image below.

After a reboot, it will work for a while, then it reverts to what I've

described above.

 

Any suggestions?
