Guest John Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 I have a Windows XP Pro that I have setup for Japanese. I just bought a computer for a friend with Windows XP Home edition, but I can't seem to enable Japanese. Is this a limitation? Must I have Win XP Pro? TIA
Guest RalfG Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 Re: Windows XP Home & Japanese? Not sure to what extent Japanese is enabled on the PC but perhaps your XP Pro computer has other software that provided or enabled the Japanes language IME ( input method editor, eg. from MS Office?) while the XP Home computer doesn't have it. Something like the following download provides: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/ie6/downloads/recommended/ime/install.mspx "John" <John@notatt.net> wrote in message news:46FAC1D3.4040308@notatt.net... >I have a Windows XP Pro that I have setup for Japanese. > I just bought a computer for a friend with Windows XP > Home edition, but I can't seem to enable Japanese. > > Is this a limitation?
