Guest Tanya Wilson Posted September 27, 2007 Posted September 27, 2007 Re: Synchronizing Clock Had the same problem with time synch and also with AVG. Found a solution which may help others who are frustrated by this annoying issue: Change the time server to tick.usno.navy.mil Worked instantly for me. To make the change permanent, edit the registry: Start - Run - Regedit hkey_local_machine/software/microsoft/windows/current version/datetime/servers Replace time.windows.com with tick.usno.navy.mil Try synchronizing clock again after making this change.
Guest Unknown Posted September 27, 2007 Posted September 27, 2007 Re: Synchronizing Clock Re: Synchronizing Clock Is it necessary to edit the registry? Why can't this be done by double clicking the time (lower right hand corner) and simply changing the internet time server? I wonder why MS hasn't fixed its time server. They surely must know there are problems with it. :( -- Zilbandy
