Guest Skip Bisconer Posted September 28, 2007 Posted September 28, 2007 I have a photo file with 439 photo's in it but when I run the Property view in Windows Explorer it says there are 474 files. This does not appear to happen in other files that I have check since seeing this. Can someone explain what is happening? Thanks for looking at my problem.

Guest vin Posted October 1, 2007 Posted October 1, 2007 Re: File count in WExplorer incorrect Hi.. when you view a folder containing pictures / videos etc as either thumbnails or filmstrip, XP will create a file Thumbs.db in the folder. Do you have different folders for different pictures in that main picture directory? If so, XP probably created a few of Thumbs.db to speed up viewing of the thumbnails. Hope this helps.
