Reinstalling Windows file

Good day to all

Have accidently deleted/corrupted a particular Windows XP file, (in this

case, "System Tools"),

which shows up empty and am attempting to restore it with the restore disk.

My question is, would I be able to custom restall this ONE PARTICULAR item or

would a complete install be necessary? System restore and defrag. among lost

items

Thanks in advance for any helpful responses.

OS Winxp Pro. WME.

Re: Reinstalling Windows file

Hi JS

Thanks for your response and the great fix.

Only problem is, the system tools folder is there, but its empty. I probably

accidently deleted the contents and I'm attempting, to somehow, reinstall the

contents that were originally in that folder.

Thanks again.

That folder contains 'Shotcuts' to the actual tools. See if the link below

helps.

Re: Reinstalling Windows file

I downloaded driver agent, ran a scan, and followed it's recommendations on

installing new drivers including the chipset. I somehow ended up losing my

device manager. It's there but totally empty. Now I can't roll back the

drivers I downloaded to the original drivers. My goal was to speed it up, I

messed it up. Anyone help? Thanks in advance, streamsaver.

Re: Reinstalling Windows file

You should make this a new add separate post as it is not related to this

post.

Also what driver agent are you talking about, include this agent info in

your new post.
