Guest The_Newb_Avenger Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 I know how to do it through the "Roll back Driver," thing, but I would have to insert the disk which only my brother knows where it's located... Thing is, I don't really want him to know that I messed up his computer... Anyways, I was updating my driver [RADEON 9200 SERIES] to a [HIGHTECH EXCALIBUR RADEON 9200 VIVO]. Well (and this is not a new problem), ALWAYS, whenever I update my RADEON 9200 SERIES, my monitor won't display unless I wait a couple of hours. And when I do wait a couple of hours, and turn my computer on, it turns out displaying in 640 by 480 pixels, and Lowest - 4 colors. Well, if I uninstall that driver (that's my main one, though I have a Secondary one that is not updated), then restart the computer, will I be fine? Will I still be able to get my previous driver? Oh, and if you have time, could someone tell me why as to why that ALWAYS happens? Thanks so much!!!
Guest The_Newb_Avenger Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 RE: Downgrade driver? Oh. Uh, could anyone also tell me why I have to wait so long for the display to work again...? #_# I seriously have to wait 5 hours before it'll start working again. Thanks again. (Sorry for double post.)

Update your driver from ATI site, assuming its a desktop, and check out the info on how to update the driver "The_Newb_Avenger" <TheNewbAvenger@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:D59FBF5E-BF6D-4ED8-8E0A-7BC425AD2651@microsoft.com... >I know how to do it through the "Roll back Driver," thing, but I would have > to insert the disk which only my brother knows where it's located... > > Thing is, I don't really want him to know that I messed up his computer... > > Anyways, I was updating my driver [RADEON 9200 SERIES] to a [HIGHTECH > EXCALIBUR RADEON 9200 VIVO]. > > Well (and this is not a new problem), ALWAYS, > whenever > I update my RADEON 9200 SERIES, my monitor won't display unless I wait a > couple of hours.
