Guest dee Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 some of the problems i have had. When i have clicked on something in a drop down box it will select whats on the page underneath. I have clicked the back button on IE and it goes back twice, i have played games and it selects more than one thing on the screen, when selecting tick boxes it wont select until after a few tries. This is very annoying as its takes me ages to get anything done. I would appreciate any help and advice on whats causing this and how to remedy it.
Guest FrankV Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 Re: having problems clicking on things First thing to do is clean the mouse. Turn it upside down and slide the cover so the ball comes out. Blow out dust inside and clean the ball with a soft cloth. This is a very simple solution and fixes many problems such as yours. Guest FrankV Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 Re: having problems clicking on things Sorry. I assumed you had a regular mouse since you didn't specify. If the problems go away, you can try cleaning your optical mouse, experiment with changing the mousing surface, or simply replace the mouse with one that works. If this is a wireless optical mouse, try replacing the batteries. Malke -- Elephant Boy Computers http://www.elephantboycomputers.com "Don't Panic!" MS-MVP Windows - Shell/User
