Guest Christian Wilkerson Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 This has me stumped. Whenever I start up my XP machine at home from hibernating, I hear what sounds like a shotgun blast. If you have the speakers up loud at all, we're talking a scare you pretty bad kind of scenario. I've looked at all of the Windows sound settings (unless there's some hidden ones I don't know about), and there doesn't seem to be anything that would cause this. Anyone have any ideas on this? Thanks -- Christian Wilkerson CAUTION - Home made country music @ http://www.myspace.com/christianwilkersonmusic
Guest Bob I Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 Re: Hibernation Startup Sound Could be the powerup on the sound card getting amplified. Perhaps Lower the "physical" volume knob, and Increase the "XP volume slider" to shift the amplification point. Christian Wilkerson wrote: > This has me stumped.
