Using your Windows XP CD ( make sure you have your Product key by the side)

reboot the PC in which the CD/DVD device boots BEFORE Hard Disk Drive in the

BIOS setup Boot Order Menu or submenu.

When screen displays "Press any key to boot from CD, press any key on your

Keyboard.

Wait until "Welcome to Setup screen" with 3 options are displayed. Don't

Press R to use Recovery Console to repair but press ENTER as if to install

Windows XP and then F8 when prompted to agree with the License.

Next the CD will find that you already have a System in possibly C:\Windows

Folder. It will give you the Opportunity to Repair .

Press R this time and hopefully it will repair the problem caused by the

malware that made access to Control Panel impossible.
