I have a laptop and a desktop. Both running a legit copy of Windows 10 Pro acquired with the free upgrade.

 

 

My laptop is using my Windows Live account, desktop just a local admin user. So the laptop license is linked to my window live account and the desktop is linked to the hardware. Can I swap this around? It makes more sense to link my desktop to my MS account and the laptop to the hardware. I'm asking because I want to format my desktop soon.

 

 

What would happen if I log into my desktop with my windows live account without removing it from my laptop first? Will I have 2 license keys linked to my windows live account?
